Lost in the avalanche of college basketball action over the weekend, Hastings College women’s coach Tony Hobson picked up his 400th career coaching victory Sunday as the Broncos beat Dakota Wesleyan 62-47 at Mitchell, S.D.
Hobson’s overall record is 400-98 heading into this Saturday's 2 p.m. game against Morningside College at Hastings.
In his seven seasons with the Broncos, Hobson is 198-37. In that span, Hastings has won three national titles and reached the semifinals of the NAIA Division II national tournament on one other occasion.
Hastings has received a national tournament bid in each of Hobson's seven seasons. The Broncos have also won seven Great Plains Athletic Conference titles — regular season or tournament — in that span.
